FORMAT
The Surrey Slam this year is divided up into 4 separate, regionalised competitions, which will crown their own winner who will then go on to a finals day to see who will be crowned the County Champion.

With 16 teams in each region, the format will be as follows, designed to maximise the number of matches played by each team:
This format guarantees ALL teams 5 matches, 50% of teams 6 matches, 25% of teams 7 matches, 6% of teams 8 matches and 3% of teams 9 matches.
Schedule the competition around a time of year where the evening light is most conducive to playing evening cricket.
- Four groups of 4 with each side playing each other once, and one side twice = 4 group stage matches;
- Top 2 teams from each group qualify for the quarter finals of the main regional competition and proceeding by knock-out from there;
- The bottom 2 teams from each group will go into the quarter finals of the regional 'plate' competition and proceeding by knck-out from there;
- The 4 winners of the main regional competitions will proceed to a Finals Day on Monday 27 August where they will play semi-finals and final on the same day to crown an overall Surrey Slam champion.

All regionalised matches will adhere to the following format:
- matches start at 18:00;
- 20 overs per innings, with the first 10 overs from the same end and the second 10 overs from the other end;
- Each fixture is assigned a 14 day window for teams to arrange suitable dates between them;
- pink balls will be used.
